Because yeah I’m not sure if it is the fact the notes had to be changed heaps or just the fact it’s Dorian against natural minor and clashes.Prismatica started in 2019 by Demian Lara AKA AKA AKA who has been producing non stop since ´99. Then I had to move the notes again, and basically in all that translation, some of the notes were a bit weird and I had to try to change it back to what it was but in d major, but in the parts that I did the Dorian melody, I couldn’t remember how it went so I tired to get it right but I couldn’t, so I was just gonna leave it until later. It sounded alright, but it sounded better when the first note was the root note, so I decided to change keys to D major. I figured out that the melody in g major (which the first note in the verse started on a G3) was too low for me as I couldn’t hit the lower notes under G3, so I moved the melody up so that the first note was on D4. I think it sounded a bit weird, like I needed to incorporate a little of that Dorian into the main part of that song to kind of blend it, and it did sound a little clashy in G major, BUT it got worse because… Those parts were done in Dorian mode whereas the rest is just in natural major. What happened is I started the song in G Major, with a Dorian intro (which is the piano part before where the recording started), along with a Dorian beginning of the bridge (the part where it’s just piano melody and chords). Yeah there is clashing notes and it is a problem. Do you have a kick drum in mind that would suit better? (No experience with drums so hard for me to tell) The kick drum (and all of the drum part) is from the sunset acoustic drums. The pad that you said to thicken, is that the one the one in the first half of the song only (forgot to add it in to the second half), the one below the classical grand piano part at the beginning?
